I do have the understanding that people have moved places always and they do carry their culture with them as they move, but that was hardly what I said. I said this is not Roti, and the fact is that rotis do come from india. So being lived in England, if i make roti, i cannot say that this is the england roti ryt! that's all i meant. Sorry if u thought i was being too assertive
greenmonkeypoo321 (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
@ subtlelove Wow, you sound so condescending! There are people in Guyana who come from India originally almost 200 years ago, and therefore brought there culture/food with them, and so now there's a certain style of roti in South America also. I hope that helps.

That is not a Roti. A Roti is made differently and sweetheart, the term Roti is Indian so if you wanna call it Roti then just say it is your own version of it. Don't say it isn't the Indian one. And all different types of Rotis come from India, not South America. |
